  • Well I finally got a part time job just to have something to do. I am working at Walgreens in the photo department. I am training this week. So, it has been hectic and more like full time hours. I hope to get into the regular rhythm of things next week so that I can update the web site.
Also, Please everyone keep my Uncle Wallace and my Grandma Mitchell in your prayers. Both are sick and in hospitals. My Grandma is in a hospice home so it may just be a matter of a couple months to weeks to days before she passes. I so here in the emergency room a week ago and I was crying by the time I left there. She is 94 years old and she did not even recognize me.

  • Hello all! I know it has been sometime since I updated you all on my blog. I am starting to enjoy my retirement. I think it grows proportionally to the fact I am finally starting to feel much better from my sinus surgery.
I had lunch with my good friends Linda and Heinz Asmuss the other day and we had a great time. Heinz and I worked at FHP together until he retired.
As far as my continuing plans going forward. I should be starting my Pharmacy Technician school in August. I have been trying to get just a small time no big deal part time job. However, with the economy the way it is. Not much luck. I may have to dig a little deeper into my retirement then I wanted. But, I have set a limit to which I will go no further. Plus if everything works out right in the end or close to it I will be able to regain what I take and then some.
Hopefully, I will be updating my website this weekend. Probably after Church on Sunday. I will let you all know.Hello all! I know it has been sometime since I updated you all on my blog. • Well, it has been over a month since I have retired. What have I been doing? I had my surgery and have had a rough time healing from it. Other than that not much. I did apply for some part-time jobs just to keep me busy until August when I start Pharmacy Tech School. I also started walking and have lost 4 pounds I know not a lot of weight but it is a start.
I did visit Linda and Heinz Asmuss yesterday. Heinz was a trooper with me and retire 7 years ago. I have not seen him in about 3 or 4 years. Him and his wife travel the country in their travel trailer. Linda and Him are doing great. We had a great visit yesterday.
I have my only job interview tomorrow back at Sears. I applied for a part-time cashiers job. They are the only one to give me an interview so far. I have not worked for Sears since I was in College before joining the Florida Highway Patrol. Highway Patrol.

  • Hello all! I know I have not updated you all in a while. I have been recovering from that sinus surgery. I have had some bad side effects and my recovery has not been stellar. I am still in recovery mode but last night was the first time I actually got good sleep and did not feel I was suffocating. The ENT Surgeon has been great. He has fit me in at the drop of a dime. He told me yesterday I was still healing and that he wanted me to see his partner just to make sure he is not missing something. He stated I just might take a little longer to heal. I see his partner next Wednesday. He also wants me to finish the sleep study with the CPAP. He believes that will help me sleep.

  • Well, it has been a month to the day that I have had my sinus surgery. At first everything seemed to be going fine. Then just after the first of the year I have had a lot of trouble. I did have the feeling that something was blocked in my nose. The doctor took care of that several times by cleaning the debris out of my nose. I feel great after that. But for the last week I have had to urinate every 10 to 15 minutes when I try to go to sleep and last night I felt I was suffocating even though I could feel the going in and out of both my nostrils. I have been getting very little sleep. The doctor has prescribed a sleep medicine for me. However, I have Lunesta and I don’t like the way this medicines make me feel like I am in a daze.
I went to the Urologist and he said I have a prostate infection and wants to perform I bladder test on my for something called IC. However, I have been reading about this bladder test and people say it is painful and last for a long time. I am not ready for more pain. So, I think I am skipping that test.
Well, I hope it goes downhill from here. I am about to hit a low point. My ENT has been great about taking me in on a dimes notice. But, I am about to go crazy.

  • Happy 2008! I hope everyone has a great year. I am praying mine will be better than last year.

  • Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy Birthday Lord Jesus. Well, it is finally here. I have had a busy day. Went to a couple of family members house. Saw some people I haven’t seen in a while and had great food and fellowship. Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

  • It is Christmas Eve 2007 and I am in a little pain from my sinus surgery. I really want to blow my nose but cannot. I hope everyone else has a safe and great Christmas Eve. Remember the reason for the season the Birth of Jesus Christ!

  • Here is a picture of me two days after nose surgery. The packing is catching anything running from my nose. I know yuck. I have to change it about two to three times a day.
