BeeStation, CGU and Raspberry Pi 5 in the Prionman 5. The Raspberry Pi 5 has come to the setup and Pi-Hole is on duty. So far it has been a little easier than I thought I would be. Ignore the cables. Cable management is not my specialty. I think it looks right at home with the CGU and next to the BeeStation. Next step getting it utilized more with other projects.
Anybody have any suggestions on what I should move to from WordPress? Show I go to a service like Micro.blog, Write.as? Should I go back to Blogspot? I don't mind paying a reasonable price. But I also would like to be all inclusive if possible. Also, any suggestions what I should put on my new Raspberry Pi 5 Pironman 5 build I made, besides Pi-Hole with Unbound? Anyone know any good resources on Hugo?
Hope everyone is doing great. I am sitting here on a Saturday getting little things done and over with and checked off my list. I am also thinking of future problems. I have embarked on moving my email across many different emails to one centralized email address. Why for privacy and security. I am just fed up with Microsoft, Google and AOL/Yahoo and other scanning my email and what if they ever decide to kill the product or increase the prices even more than they have recently.
Happy Thanksgiving 2023. I hope everyone gets stuffed. I was thinking what I am Thankful this year for. Well, my salvation, my Lord, my family and getting up every morning and having a job that pays me for my work. Other than that not much. 2023 has not been a very cheerful year for me. My family and me have had continued health problems and a little bit of money problems this year (mainly due to inflation).
Like the title says nothing much is going on right now. I did cook my dad his favorite for him an early Father's Day gift. Other than that it has been working, home rinse, and repeat. Update on the car the right front wheel bearing was the issue. The car has been solid and working great since then. Now I am going to get my yearly detail and thinking strongly about getting window tint.
Easter is a time of great celebration for Christians all over the world. It marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the son of God, after he was crucified on the cross for the sins of humanity. This event is the cornerstone of the Christian faith and is seen as a symbol of hope, love, and redemption.
The Bible teaches that Jesus was crucified on the cross, buried, and then rose again three days later.
I asked ChatGPT to compose a poem comparing the lives of Jesus Christ and Alexander the Great. This is what it wrote:
Jesus and Alexander, two great names, Whose lives and legacies forever remain. One a king of men, the other King of Kings, Both with armies and power at their wings.
Alexander conquered lands far and wide, His empire stretching from side to side. But Jesus, a different kind of king, His kingdom not of this world, but within.
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know besides Twitter I am on Mastodon in two places. I am on Mastodon Pixelfed that is supposed to be an Instagram replacement. I haven't started to use that yet as I am still trying to figure that out. My main account is on mitchelltribe.social. I watched a YouTube video on how to create your own server. I made my own server as the main mastodon.
I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Remember this is the season we celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and has a great time.
Christmas 2023 is fast approaching and so is the end of 2022. 2022 has been a mixed bag for me. This year for some reason has just felt weird. I am not sure why and really can't put my finger on it. Some of the year felt like it was moving a glacier speed and some felt like it was moving at warp speed. I am still debating whether to send out Christmas Cards.
Happy Thanksgiving 2022 everyone. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving on Thursday and gets like the bird stuffed. I am looking forward to the next few days as I relax and have some time away from work. Speaking of taking time from work. I am using it to get caught up on car maintenance. I spent 319 dollars today getting an oil change and rear brakes. I also got a recalled fixed.
Hurricane Ian has come and gone. Being born and raised in Florida this is the worst Hurricane I have experienced and we did not take a direct hit. We lost power for almost 48 hours. This hurricane had the highest winds I have ever experienced and the rain when it fell was immense and intense as the bands rotated around. I can only imagine what Fort Myers went through. I lived there for a couple of years and can't believe what they endured.
Hurricane Ian is upon us. It is a dreary day today with occasional bursts of wind. Work told us we would be closed for the next 2 days. So I had to use my own Paid Time Off but that is ok I have plenty. I expect the weather will get worse later on today once the storm finally either goes north or makes landfall south of us. Luckily, we will not take a direct hit but will still get the effects except the storm surge.
I have been wanting to type this post for a while. I am just frustrated with how things are right now as in society at large. Inflation and what will likely be a recession next year and where have all the people gone. I know we lost about a million people that died directly or indirectly from the Pandemic but were is everyone else. Eating out right now is not a great option whether it is a fast food place or a causal dining experience.
Well it seems that we have our first hurricane threat of the season. Hopefully we will dodge a bullet but we will have to wait and see. As far as me, I got my Covid-19 Bivalent booster shot and thought it would explode my heart. I went into A-Fib the first time that has happened in several years. I think I will be skipping any further Covid-19 shots.
I also wanted to say my TV habits have changed with the different streaming services and I think it has gotten better.
Happy New Year and let’s hope 2022 is better. 2021 was a terrible year for me compared to 2020 believe it or not. Even though 2020 was the start of Pandemic it was a better year for me personally. As far as New Year’s resolutions I don’t do that but would like to read more this year. Well that is it for now. Hope everyone stays safe.
Merry Christmas Eve to everyone!
I hope everyone has a great day and remember the real celebration is tomorrow. It is a birthday celebration of OUR LORD and Savior Jesus. Without him everlasting life would be impossible. May everyone have a great, Merry and Blessed Christmas tomorrow.
Well, it finally happened. I had to get a new computer. My old computer an Alienware Aurora R5 was on it's last leg. It had several problems and I was really worried it was going to give out. Now, I wanted a new computer with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X with a NVIDIA RTX 3080 with all the trimmings. But with the supply issues and the outrageous cost with everything blown out of proportion I decided to get a low end but respectable computer.
This is the first time in my 52 years alive that I can remember everything and anything you want being on shortage. I am not just talking the latest tech, but yea I haven't been able to buy a new computer as there are shortages of components and the prices are way out of whack. I am talking food shortages and what not. I see on forums people all over the Country saying no shortages here and there.
I got the Google Pixel 6 Pro pre-launch as they were giving away free Pixel Buds and with everything in short supply now days I went ahead and got it. It arrived yesterday. So far, my biggest thing is that I wish Google would figure out a way I can say hi you know how I have the present phone set up on the home screens do the same thing.
I have been reading and looking at the new Google Pixel 6 Pro and I like what I see. I will probably not buy on launch but probably by the end of the year. I have loved all my past Pixel's. Can't wait to see the Pixel 6's.
I just realized I have been on Blogger for 20 years. I started in 2001 blogging. I am not a prolific blogger. But I try to keep typing a way. I was just amazed when I saw it has been 20 years. Blogger hasn't really changed that much. I do keep wishing I could have a desktop app to load more. I am a app and software type person. I try to do as much as possible out side of the web browser.
Things never stay the same like I want. I want all my tabs and settings and extensions on all my devices look like my main system unless I opt out that machine. Same with Onedrive and other services that sync things. They never say follow this template unless item or machine is opted out.
Well, we will be experiencing our first Tropical Storm/Hurricane of the year, Elsa. It should be rather tame alot of rain and some wind, but Florida should be able to bare it. Hopefully this will be the worst of the season. Stay safe and stay dry if you can everyone.
Happy 4th of July 2021 to everyone. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy 4th of July. This year we are seeing the World rebound from hopefully once in a lifetime Pandemic. During this time my normal TV viewing habits have changed and I find myself watching less newer TV shows and series and more old favorites and finding new stuff to watch on YouTube. The stuff on YouTube has been very interesting and pretty good.
What if you won the lottery? I always think this. I imagine depending on how much I won where I would live. Hawaii, French Polynesia, Corfu, or Crete. That is my shortlist. Each has its pros and cons. I lean toward Hawaii as it is part of the United States does not require a passport and the people speak English.
Well, that was just a what-if and a random thought.
I was just thinking I haven't posted in a long time. Nothing really worth posting. Other than I have gotten my Covid-19 vaccine, both does of the Pfizer. I have also been thinking lately about how I have been watching more oldie TV. I find the shows comforting and better than some of the junk they are trying to show on regular shows with all the PC junk going on right now.
Happy New Year! My first post of this year. It is after midnight and I am still up because we have fireworks going off all around us. I guess the neighbors shooting off fireworks thanks it good to keep going into the wee morning hours. Well, hopefully this will be it.
Lets hope this is a great year.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Let's pray the Lord will Bless us all in 2021. My Mom and I were talking today. For our Family, other than my father losing his job this year, 2020 was not that bad of a year for our Family. We all had relatively good health and did not get COVID-19. So this year has not been bad as the Lord kept us safe and blessed.
Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday King Jesus!
Without you eternal life is not possible. Thank you for all you have done, are doing and will do. Enjoy your day everyone.
