    Update on 2011

So far 2011 has not been what I expected. It has been very bad financially mostly. I feel the brink my come this year.

On a brighter note for this year, I have cleared a lot of junk out of my life and house.

Philippians 2:14-16“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.”

    Welcome 2011

Well, it is another year. I pray this one is a lot better than last year. I was reflecting last night how if I was still in law enforcement, I would have only 4 years to go to full retirement. However, I don’t know if I would have lived longer than 5 years after that. I would probably be about 250 to 260 pounds. Plus have full blown diabetes and still probably would have had glaucoma in my right eye. On top of that the citizens of Hillsborough County would have drove me nuts.

I am thankful to the Lord for telling me to leave when I did. I have pre-diabetes. Still have glaucoma in my right eye and have lost 26 pounds in the last year. I did it slowly over the course of the year and I am maintaining my weight. I plan on talking to my doctor again and see if I can go back on the Phenteramine. I seem to hold my weight once I lose it thanks to the those pills.

I am hoping to pay down more debt this year. I am hoping. I pray that the Lord will give me enough of a pay raise to help accomplish a 15 percent reduction in my overall debt. I would like to also build up a reserve this year of at least 10 percent of my salary. I would also like to use cash to pay for as much as possible. By the end of the year I hope I can reach these goals along with being at 199 pounds in weight. I would also like to be able to start back to College to head to my goal within the next five years to finally graduate and get a job in the IT industry. My long term goal is to be living in Paris, Tennessee by the time I am 52. Let’s pray all this works out.

That is my short term and long term goals for the years to come. Hope everyone had a great New Year’s Eve. I worked but it was an easy night. So, easy I can’t even sleep today.

    Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to everyone. Remember it is Jesus birthday and remember the gift he gave us (eternal life).

Have fun and enjoy yourselves. I will be sleeping after a long night at work.

    Quote of the Day:
If you’re looking for friends when you need them…it’s too late.
    --Mark Twain

Luke 2:16-20“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”

Bad News

Got some bad news today. First of all, I had my annual eye exam which was good, because it caught the pressure in my right eye which was 29 and the eye doctor has started me on glaucoma medication. No nerve damage and my left eye is completely normal. I go back in two weeks to get my pressure checked again to make sure the eye medication (Xalatan) is working.

Glee

I like watching Glee for the talent. I don’t always like the song selection like the Britney Spears or Madonna shows. But, I do like the cast and some of them have great voices. I like this duet that Finn and Rachel did on the last episode. Here is a Youtube of it.

Having a Shaw Family Reunion today

We are having a Shaw Family reunion today at my Aunt’s house today in Lakeland. Shaw side is my Grandmother’s side. Never had one on the Mitchell side before. No nothing of the Mitchell’s except my immediate family and what I have learned on the dead one’s while doing a little Genealogy.

Will post some twitter and maybe some Youtube or Facebook stuff today from there.

Finally got around to this!

Well, I finally got around to downloading this from my video recorder. Here is a short video of my Mom and Me at the musical Wicked! This is pre-opening and shot from our nose-bleed seats. We had a good time though. After my Mom stopped thinking we would fall.

Complaining Neighbor

My Neighbor always complains and has reported me to Animal Control a couple of times because my dogs back in my own back yard in the day time. At night they are in the house. However, I bought a bark collar for them and they rarely are not wearing them when outside because of him. He even accused my dogs of running the neighborhood which that one is a blatant lie. However, it is ok for his dog.Which he says does not bark and does. To roam the neighborhood. Here is his dog who just walked through the front of my yard into my other neighbors yard.

What has happened to Customer Service?

I got my haircut today at a new place. I was scared to death to say anything. I thought that I would be bald by the time I left there. I will not be back. I spent $13.45 for a terrible haircut. That is why I do not like women cutting my hair. What happened to a regular haircut, above the ears squared back? I knew I was in trouble when she asked me what number of guard do they use on my hair. I don’t know I never asked and never told I had too. I just thought you said “regular haircut, above the ears and square back.”
