I am almost done with my retail/ambulatory clinicals. Thursday is my last day. I will then hopefully have time to update my website for Christmas and get out my Christmas card.
Hope everyone is doing fine. I am and so is Henry and Taco, my dogs. See all of you all later.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
I know that I got stuffed. I hope everyone else did too.
My clinicals are going great. I am off until Monday. But, can’t wait until I finish and get a job. So, I will have some of my retirement left.

Well I am glad I won’t be seeing any election commercials for at least two years. I voted for one candidate based on a single very important issue to me. I was really not impressed with either candidate this year. I look forward to when Huckabee runs again.
I just got my first report card for my Pharmacy Technician program. I have a 4.0 grade point average for now. I am having fun learning about the different drugs. We just finished all of are ambulatory/retail pharmacy side of the program. There was a snafu with our clinical/internships. So we will be going straight into the Institutional/hospital side starting Monday. Soon we will began learning to make IV solutions.

You can vote however you like!

This is a great clip worth watching:

I have finally filled out my absentee ballot. School is going good and I will be starting clinicals next month. I have finally updated the website for the first time in a few months. It has been updated for Thanksgiving.

Yes I am still alive. Yes, I know the website has not been updated for a couple of months. Yes, I know I have not blogged in a while. I have just been very busy with this technical program. I have a test every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. I have an average of 30 words to learn generic and brand names of drugs a week. I hope some day to update the website.
Henry and Taco, my dogs, are doing great. I am still losing weight albeit at a much slower than desired and I plateau for a couple of weeks before taking another pound or too. But, I have and continued to change my caloric intake and my eating habits.
My Mom is doing great and my Dad is still ornery as ever and still a pain in the butt.

Well, I am getting real tired of politics and the politicians in this Country. I am not voting for Obama for sure and I don’t like McCain. I personally do not like either choice. However, I know where McCain is coming from. Obama is a great Orator but that is it. When pressed he is never specific. I also fear he would give into other nations because he is afraid to get us in a war even though it maybe for the right reason. The Iraq War was wrong to start but we must finish it or breed a 1000 more terrorist that will hurt us.
We need people in Congress who is going to not only say he is going to look out for the “little guy” but recognize who the “little guy” is and start telling big business about their many unfair business practices. Such as telling banks they are not going to charge any more ATM fees. It cost them almost nothing to run these things and if I bank with Bank A and go to Bank B because it is closer I should not have to pay. Because I can guarantee you that a Bank B customer will use Banks A ATM and it works out in the end. That is just one of the number of ways Americans are being bleed dry by Corporations.
I have a book full.

Hello everyone, I started school last week. I am going to Brewster Technical Institute for Pharmacy Technician. So, far so good. I know I have not blogged or updated my website in a while. But, I have been pretty busy the last couple of months doing several things. Getting ready for school (i.e. physical, getting clothes and supplies). I have also been getting things ready to probate my grandmother’s estate so that my Aunt and me can get what was left to us transferred legally. Plus, I have been trying to lose weight.
On those notes, school’s start was successful. This is going to be a rough program but I am learning a lot. Secondly, I see the Probate lawyer tomorrow and hopefully after paying approximately $2000 get Grandma’s estate done. That leaves the weight. I lost 14 pounds initially. I have gained 2 back but holding steady. I need to go down again. I had to start taking Metformin because by glucose reading was on the border line. My doctor did not want me to get Diabetes type 2. If I lose enough weight and keep it off I could stop taking the medicine.
Well, that’s it for now. I promise sometime in the future, maybe this weekend, I will get the website update.

I thought I would give everyone a weight update. Well, I have lost a total of 13 pounds in 2 weeks. I hope to have lost 25 in another 3 weeks.
I know that I have not updated the website the last couple of months. I will get around to it. Hope everyone is well.

My neice’s birthday was yesterday and she is 11 now. We had a great party at my house today. All had fun and good food.

I started my diet yesterday. I am on the Slim-fast low calorie diet. I am trying to keep my daily consumption of calories between 1200-1500 calories. So far success. Although I have constant hunger pains and lately having headaches. I have increased my caffeine intake and that seems to help with my headaches.

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July. We had a great meal here at home. Barbecue spare ribs, hamburgers, greens, squash casserole, baked beans and coleslaw all homemade. Have fun everyone.

Well, I just got a call from the dermatologists office. The area the cut from my leg was just a simple skin tag. However, the area they cut on my back was skin cancer and according the the biopsy it was the best kind of skin cancer that does not spread. Also according to the biopsy they cut out all of the area as it was contained in the specimen.

Went to the dermatologist yesterday and he cut a piece of skin cancer on my back out. It was small and he said they will have it tested to see what specific kind it is. But, he thinks it is a basal cell carcinoma. He said this was good because if it is this type it was gone and it would not spread. By back is still in a little bit of pain. I will keep everyone updated.

I know it has been a long time since I updated my blog. I have had a lot happen in the last couple of months. First of all, I am no longer working at Walgreen’s as a photo specialist. I left to concentrate on Pharmacy Technician school coming up in a couple of months.
I went on a vacation to Tennessee. Where I learned a lot of new stuff. Although it was an expensive trip. The cost of the rental car was unbelievable. I will be posting a few pictures in the next week or so.
Since, I have been home, I have been busy on about three different projects and only one is not costing me anything but time. Then I come down sick with the norovirus. I wasn’t even on a cruise ship. I have been sick all night Thursday night all day Friday and I am finally feeling a little better today. I caught it from my niece who caught it from Chuck E Cheese. My dad was about an hour behind me. We both had a throw up fest for about an hour on Friday morning. Unfortunately, I won. Today my mom came down with it. I have been that sick since my food poisoning a couple of years ago. Chuck E Cheese should be forced to close…….

Well I finally got a part time job just to have something to do. I am working at Walgreens in the photo department. I am training this week. So, it has been hectic and more like full time hours. I hope to get into the regular rhythm of things next week so that I can update the web site.
Also, Please everyone keep my Uncle Wallace and my Grandma Mitchell in your prayers. Both are sick and in hospitals. My Grandma is in a hospice home so it may just be a matter of a couple months to weeks to days before she passes. I so here in the emergency room a week ago and I was crying by the time I left there. She is 94 years old and she did not even recognize me.

Hello all! I know it has been sometime since I updated you all on my blog. I am starting to enjoy my retirement. I think it grows proportionally to the fact I am finally starting to feel much better from my sinus surgery.
I had lunch with my good friends Linda and Heinz Asmuss the other day and we had a great time. Heinz and I worked at FHP together until he retired.
As far as my continuing plans going forward. I should be starting my Pharmacy Technician school in August. I have been trying to get just a small time no big deal part time job. However, with the economy the way it is. Not much luck. I may have to dig a little deeper into my retirement then I wanted. But, I have set a limit to which I will go no further. Plus if everything works out right in the end or close to it I will be able to regain what I take and then some.
Hopefully, I will be updating my website this weekend. Probably after Church on Sunday. I will let you all know.Hello all! I know it has been sometime since I updated you all on my blog. Well, it has been over a month since I have retired. What have I been doing? I had my surgery and have had a rough time healing from it. Other than that not much. I did apply for some part-time jobs just to keep me busy until August when I start Pharmacy Tech School. I also started walking and have lost 4 pounds I know not a lot of weight but it is a start.
I did visit Linda and Heinz Asmuss yesterday. Heinz was a trooper with me and retire 7 years ago. I have not seen him in about 3 or 4 years. Him and his wife travel the country in their travel trailer. Linda and Him are doing great. We had a great visit yesterday.
I have my only job interview tomorrow back at Sears. I applied for a part-time cashiers job. They are the only one to give me an interview so far. I have not worked for Sears since I was in College before joining the Florida Highway Patrol. Highway Patrol.

Hello all! I know I have not updated you all in a while. I have been recovering from that sinus surgery. I have had some bad side effects and my recovery has not been stellar. I am still in recovery mode but last night was the first time I actually got good sleep and did not feel I was suffocating. The ENT Surgeon has been great. He has fit me in at the drop of a dime. He told me yesterday I was still healing and that he wanted me to see his partner just to make sure he is not missing something. He stated I just might take a little longer to heal. I see his partner next Wednesday. He also wants me to finish the sleep study with the CPAP. He believes that will help me sleep.
