@apoorplayer I want you to know that I read what you write. I enjoy reading other people’s thoughts and ideas on many different things. I treat my own blog as an online journal, a place for opinions on what I find personally interesting, or simply as a way to find catharsis in a day. You are right that I post to share my ideas, to complain, to opine, and to invite others to read.
As for your comparisons, I must admit I never understood why someone would write a diary or journal and keep it hidden, only to be discovered after they are gone or by accident. Why write it down if the intention is to keep it secret? Other than for catharsis, I don’t see the point. Still, I do understand the idea of a blog being a personal journal meant to be shared with others.
I’ll also admit you probably get more human readers than I do. I seem to attract mostly bots, so I like to joke that I’m famous in the robotic world 🤖 with quite the following.😊
I share your frustration about writing, posting, and then wondering if anyone is actually reading. For me, even a small response or a simple acknowledgment means that someone has taken the time to look at what I wrote. That kind of interaction is extremely rare for me, but I understand exactly where you are coming from. I just want to offer a little encouragement. I enjoy reading your blog, as well as others, and I’ve been doing so more and more over the past couple of years. I find that reading people’s blogs is a way of sharing knowledge, discovering useful things, and getting to know a person through what they write and post, not solely through politics or other measures.
So keep writing and posting. As you said in your “About” section:
> It is no longer primarily theatre-centric, but rather a space to ruminate, write, and share.
I truly enjoy reading your ruminations on different subjects, and I thank you for sharing them.
